Our Process
1. Designing and Model Making
This is the heart of the TDW Jewelry making process. Our in-house designers sketch designs according to their inspirations and expertise to satisfy your luxurious desires. After the designing process, the 3D printed model is made using CAD (computer aided designing).
3. Filing
After casting, the piece goes through a filing process. In this process we refine the structure of the piece by making aesthetic adjustments. After the mount is complete, the jewelry is ready for stone setting.
5. Polishing, Finishing & Quality Control
In this final process the jewelry is polished and furbished into the glossy metal that charms the eye. Finally, the jewelry is put under strict quality control measures to make sure it can survive tough conditions. We at Vama take quality control very seriously to match ours and our customers expectations using international standards
2. Casting
The jewelry then goes through a casting technique called the “lost-wax” casting. At this stage, your piece starts coming to life. The models cast in gold are then checked and approved by the QC department. The QC department checks the gold for porosity in this step and then issues it to the goldsmith if the gold meets our standards. The goldsmith then files and polishes the gold, which is again checked and approved by the QC department for further processing. In this step the QC department checks for things such as the alignment of the model and linkages in case of necklaces, bracelets and earrings.
4. Selection & Stone Setting
For this step, diamonds and colorstones are hand-selected by the in-house selectors to ensure the best quality diamonds and colorstones go into your jewelry. This selection is then forwarded to the in-house setters. A setter carefully sets the stone into the piece using tools at a microscopic level to ensure preciseness and perfection.
